7-20-10 broke down mile post 150

Just got a call from Mike. Right front spindle broke. The have a guy coming out of Fort St. Johns with a trailer and will be hauling the wagon back to there to see what they can do.

The were coming down Pink mountain when it broke. This is originally caused by the wreck Mike had when the team spooked. It tore the frame. The pacthed it but it just didn’t hold.

The promised an update as soon as they know anything.

May require a compleye new chassie.  With all the hills, the brakes are getting bad also.   Mike said if it’s too expensive, he and Sheila will saddle up and continue on.

I hope all goes well and you get fixed and back on the road. I would like to see you go all the way with the horses and wagon. You came this far-unreal! I’m sure you are thinking the same. Get some R&R and a little booze. LOL Good luck!

Hi Folks, I’m sorry that I just read about your adventure now, as you’ve just passed through our town. If you need a place to stay in Fort St. John (on your return), you’d be more than welcome. Pls. e-mail if you’d like.

Also, nice to hear you’re doing it for the vets. We’re assuming that as you travel through our country, you’re wrapping Canada’s sons and daughters into your prayers as well.

Welcome to the best of the Canadian Northern frontier and good luck! Colleen
